Looking for new fonts?

Are your designs looking a little dated?  Still using the same 10 fonts?  Or, maybe those shareware fonts are more trouble than the “savings”.  Try MyFonts.com for fresh new commercial fonts.

I have been using MyFonts for years.  I stumbled onto the site after Googling for a Mac font that I needed converted to PC.  Not only did I buy the font, but I signed up for their newsletter and have been a frequent shopper since.

You never know when you may need a unique font.  And, of course, when you do, you will never be able to find the right one.  As a result, I have started collecting cool fonts.  It started with some handwritten styles and quickly moved to san serifs, ornate headline fonts, semi-serifs and full serifs.  MyFonts makes it easy to build your collection since many commercial fonts are under $20.

Once you start following fonts, you can quickly find a rising star.  For example, take a look at Insigne Design and its founder Jeremy Dooley.  Just take a look at one of his newest font families called Enzia…a fresh and fun semi-serif.  Definitely not Helvetica. Just for kicks, take a look at his Obama script font.

Go ahead…take your favorite font and look-up the foundry.  Chances are you will find more fonts to love.  Better yet, sign-up for MyFonts’ email newsletter and see who you discover.
