Day 3 of New York Comic Con debuted the panel of the upcoming movie Mortal Kombat II.  Videogame creator Ed Boon hosted the panel with Director Simon McQuoid, Writer Jeremy Slater and cast Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, and Martyn Ford.

So, you may have heard that Mortal Kombat II was delayed from an October 2025 release to a May 2026 release.  The studio is so excited about the movie that it is now a Summer Tentpole!  In fact, Jeremy Slater revealed that the Studio just hired him to write the sequel!  Yes, there will be a Mortal Kombat III.

The clips of the movie were great, combining action, cutting edge special effects and comedy.  Karl Urban joins the Mortal Kombat I cast as Johnny Cage with so much attitude that Billy Butcher would smile.
