The last big panel on Day 4 of New York Comic Con was the Cast of the Matrix with Host Josh Horowitz, Joe Pantoliano and Laurence Fishburne. Joe and Laurence had a great time recounting the filming and behind the scenes memories. 

Laurence is a HUGE comix fan!  He still has many of his original comix from the 70s, along with a bunch of action figures.  The Wachowski pitched him on the movie by describing it as a live action Manga movie and that was enough.

Joe’s big “steak” scene was almost cut from the movie.  Joe also thought he talked the Wachowski’s into having his character survive to appear in the sequel.
